Big Foot Mama

Stage Zlatorog

Last year, Big Foot Mama celebrated 25 years since the band was established. They started this celebration with a concert in the Berlin club Bassy and continued with their hit Nove zmage, the new hymn of Slovenian basketball, that was released on their double best-off album titled Let 25. Their last year’s highlight was their sold-out concert in the biggest Slovenian concert hall Stožice. Did you know that it was our festival music director Urban Centa who gave the band their name?

Big Foot Mama also has a special memory from Laško – at the festival Pivo in cvetje 2013, they performed together with the American legend of blues rock Warren Haynes, with whom they performed a cover of Rockin’ in a Free World.

Hits like Slab spomin, Nor sigurno ne, Užitek na replay and Kratek stik from their already five-year-old album Izhod add to their numerous older hits and their rich concert history. And the future? They are working on a new (eight) album – and we just might hear one or two new songs on the Zlatorog stage!
